Well, hello there. My name is Brittany Misra and I am an Atlanta based creative, digital marketing professional with more than a decade of industry experience.
Hailing from the city of Orlando, FL, along with most major pop groups from the early 2000s, I migrated to Atlanta in 2005 in the pursuit of an education at Emory University. Beginning as a biology student, and finishing with a major in Anthropology and minor in Sociology, I have always had a profound interest in people, their motivations, and why the World is the way it is.
Graduating during the peak of the recession in 2008 left me with few job prospects, leading me to pivot and continue my educational journey in Web Design and Interactive Media at the Art Institute of Atlanta.
My previous experience with research and human behavior studies gave me an upper-hand in courses like UX and usability testing, allowing me to naturally lead with a user-focused design strategy.
Over the last 13 years, my curiosity and growth mindset has landed me on multiple sides of the digital ecosystem, starting as a web/ux designer, to ghostwriter and social media content curator, paid search analyst, and creative and technical project and account management. I have been affectionately nicknamed a “Swiss Army knife” due to my toolbox’s versatility. It's safe to say I've gotten my hands sufficiently dirty, and have learned a lot along the way.
In 2023, I completed a 7 month Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaching program at Emory University, founded The Innersect Co, and began working independently as a personal and professional development coach/consultant, helping small business owners navigate their goals and optimize their business practices.
In a capitalist world, it’s easy to get caught up on the “urgent” while neglecting the “important”. At this stage of my career, I am interested in partnering with mission driven organizations to lead from principle, optimize internal and external communications, prioritize the often back-burnered "important" pile, streamline processes, and ultimately improve quality of life at work for all parties involved. Things can always be made better, and I long to make work that leaves the World a little better than we found it.
Extracurriculars: cycling, cooking, adventures with my camera, writing, rearranging furniture, hunting street art, reading, and binge watching documentaries.
